Maine Media Workshops appoint new directors
Rockport — Four new members have been elected to the Maine Media Workshops + College Board of Directors: Dr. Keith Collins, Steven Fierberg, Cig Harvey, and Louise Rosen.
Judy O’Dell was elected as the chairman of the board at the annual meeting Dec. 7.
Fierberg is an award-winning member of the American Society of Cinematographers with numerous films and television programs to his credit, including "Love and Other Drugs," "Twelve," "Entourage," and "Attila." Cig Harvey, a photographer and author whose work is exhibited internationally, is known for her innovative approach to visual storytelling. Rosen is a media executive who specializes in project development, production and distribution, and currently serves as the executive and artistic director of the Maine Jewish Film Festival. Dr. Keith Collins, founder and CEO of the medical services company HealthExcel, has a long history of bringing new technology to small businesses and entrepreneurs. Judy O’Dell, who replaces outgoing chairman and current vice-chairman, John Claussen, has had a 40-year career as a certified public accountant both in public accounting and with the Financial Accounting Standards Board. She currently chairs an advisory committee of the US General Accountability Office.
