Maine Maple Sunday at Riley School
Join Riley School for Maine Maple Sunday on March 24, from 11:00-2:00 p.m., at 73 Warrenton Street, Glen Cove. Tapping trees and making Maple Syrup is a part of the Riley Lower School program. The children, ages 4 to 8, do most of the work using a hand drill, five gallon buckets and home made evaporators. This year we tapped 50 trees. Come see the children in action and lend a hand. There will be live music, hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill, syrup tasting, and hikes on the nature trail. Lower School Facilitator, Todd Martin and the children have been working on a secret recipe using their home made syrup. Come taste "Riley's Gold". Celebrate 30 years of Maine Maple Sunday thanks to the Maine Maple Producers Association which we are proud to be a part of
