Interesting. Maine is the most heavily wooded state in the USA... and also the most heavily dependent of foreign  #2 fuel oil for heating of all states.

We export most of the wood pellets we produce in Maine to Europe.

Maine considers bonds and grants to build rails and facilities to get the pellets to port for export. Would it not make sense to help Mainers convert to pellet heat instead?
