Maine Innkeepers Association announces 2014 officers
Freeport — The Maine Innkeepers Association announces that Jeanne Carpentier of Emerald Hospitality has been elected chairman by the MEIA Board of Directors for her first term and that Jim Ostrowski of the Inns at Blackberry Common in Camden will serve as past chairman for 2014.
Ostrowski has served on the board since 2003 and was chairman of the MEIA Board in 2012 and 2013. Emerald Hospitality has four hotels in membership the Hampton Inn and Hilton Garden Inns in Freeport, the Hampton Inn in Presque Isle and the Embassy Suites Hotel in Portland.
New to the Executive Committee in 2014 as an at large member is James “Bud” Harmon, who along with his wife owns the Moontide Motel & Cottages in Old Orchard Beach. Bud also serves as executive director of the Old Orchard Beach Chamber of Commerce. New MEIA board members are Chip Gray of the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Ed Palmer of the Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland and Matthew Levin of the Lord Camden and Grand Harbor Inns in Camden.
