We have been custom-building, renovating and restoring fine homes and commercial buildings from Boothbay to Bar Harbor since 1968. Superior craftsmanship and strong customer relationships are basic to Maine Coast Construction’s success. We are committed to customer care, clear communication, and we hold ourselves accountable on your project form start to finish. The homes we have built run the gamut from simple mid-range houses and cottages to sophisticated mansions. Our commercial buildings include both conventional and VP pre-engineered steel structures for virtually every kind of business. Two of our more high-profile projects are Midcoast Recreation Center in Rockport and the “Big Green,” an environmentally friendly boatbuilding facility for Lyman Morse in Thomaston. OUR HANDYMAN DIVISION offers a wide range of maintenance, repair and improvement services as well as assistance with planning and carrying out seasonal projects. We are are experiecd in green-building techiques and weatherization upgrading. Call us for an energy evaluation of your home or business space. Distinct from “energy audits" (which can cost hundreds of dollars before improvements even begin), our  evaluation allows us to identify various ways in which you can upgrade your home to save money. It’s amazing how much you can save with simple improvements such as professionally installed weather-stripping and insulation to reduce heat loss, drafts, and condensation all while adding breathing room to your energy budget and comfort to your living space. Our Handymen also offer the design and installation of competitively priced air radon mitigation systems. These systems help ensure the safety of the air you breathe and will increase the value of your home. If you have any questions about the radon level in the air of your home, a simple test will help you determine whether one of these systems is appropriate.
