Magro art show in Lincolnville Center
Lincolnville — The public is invited to attend an opening of a display of works in steel, paint and clay by Appleton artist Noah Magro Sunday, July 20, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Lincolnville Community Building, at 18 Searsmont Road/Route 173 in Lincolnville Center. Guitarist John Ruis will provide music and refreshments will be served.
Magro was born in Rockport, raised in Appleton and graduated from Camden-Rockport High School in 1996. After studying at the Massachusetts College of Art, he completed his bachelor of fine arts degree at the University of Southern Maine. Magro's work has been displayed in several local venues, as well as Camden's juried HarborArts.
Whether working with stone, clay, paint, steel, leather or wood, Magro enjoys the artistic process that speaks to the innermost part of his soul that follows no rules. His work is an expression of what his heart says to be his truth, and its versatility reflects his great enthusiasm for life.
Magro's work will remain on display in the Lincolnville Community Building to Aug. 10 and can be viewed Sunday mornings, Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and by chance or appointment; call 785-3521 to make arrangements. This event is sponsored by the United Christian Church.
