Photo by: Ken Waltz For Jessica Damon of Brewer, when it rains it pours, or so it seems as she finishes the bike portion of the the fifth annual Waldo County YMCA Family Triathlon Festival May 10 in Belfast. The event was held in on-and-off again wet conditions.

Belfast — Heavy, saturating rain could not deter or wipe the smiles — sometimes anguished — from the faces of the hardy participants during the fifth annual Waldo County YMCA Family Triathlon Festival on Saturday, May 10.

Participants swam, biked and ran in the difficult weather conditions. The swim portion took place in the YMCA pool, while the bike and run were outdoors in and around the area.
