Owls Head — Lola Jean (Connors) Chickering, 58 of Owls Head, passed away Feb. 15, 2013. She was born on May 2, 1954 in Camden, the daughter of Thomas and Bessie (Chapman) Connors.

She graduated from Camden High School in 1972. Lola then spent many years working locally in customer service. Her customers remember her for always greeting them with a smile. She was known for her love of animals, whether it be watching the birds in her feeders or caring deeply for her many pets.

Lola is predeceased by both of her parents; her brothers Cecil Connors, Daryl Small, Donald Small.

Survivors include her longtime partner Paul Salo; her son Craig Brown and wife Amy of Unity, son Chris Brown of Augusta, daughter Stacy Brown of Rockland, daughter Laura Brown of Ellsworth, and son Daniel Salo of Owls Head; her siblings David Connors of Searsport, Tommy Connors of Portland and Laura Billings of Warren; and her 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, as well as by her best friend of 45 years Cindy Bryant and a treasured family friend Sumner Swett.

A celebration of Lola’s life will be held Saturday, March 9, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 31 New County Road in Rockland. Friends and family are welcome to join us celebrating, sharing stories and memories.

In lieu of flowers donations are being accepted to help with final expenses. Donations can be sent to Stacy Brown 7 Oliver Woods North, Rockland, ME 04841. I never saw this on Village Soup, if I had I would have been there  on March 9th.  And I kept looking almost every day for awhile on Village Soup for this.

I am so sorry I didn't see  this or get to go. I thought the world of Lola, you all are still in my thoughts and prayers..God Bless..  R.I.P Lola   Love ya..
