Live Entertainment has found a new home in Rockland!

By The Chowder House and Speakeasy | Feb 12, 2014

There is a new venue for entertainers of all genres in Rockland.  The Speakeasy, located at 2 Park Drive, hosts performers every Friday and Saturday evening.  There is an open mic night on Wednesdays with an electric piano, guitar and drums available if needed.  There are also special events held on scheduled Thursdays that provide a more up close and personal interaction with the artists.  The performers come down from the stage to set up close to the audience...a wonderful opportunity to connect!

The Speakeasy opened it's doors November 1st, 2013 with a Great Gatsby party featuring the sounds of Brian Catell and The Jump City Jazz Band.  Since that time it has been the venue for a host of musicians including Shades of Blue, The Usual Suspects, The Wayne Delano Jazz Quartet and The Coloradas to name a few.  One highlight in the near future is the launch of the newest O'Chang Comic on February 28th at 8:00PM.  Along with the comic debut will be the music of $2 Pistol and Leroy.  A full line-up of entertainment can be found at facebook.com/TheSpeakeasyDanceClub.

The Speakeasy is dedicated to providing great entertainment in a relaxed comfortable environment....(and the cocktails are pretty darned good too!  :-) )
