This year's District 2 Little League tournaments have a different look and feel than in the recent past. Gone are the teams from Rockland, Camden-Rockport and Waldoboro and in their places stand teams from Oceanside (Rockland area), Five Towns (Camden-Rockport area) and Medomak Valley (Waldoboro area).

All three area Little Leagues have gone through name changes the past 18 months.

Teams from Waldo County and Lincoln County also will participate in the various tournaments, though not all five leagues have representatives in all five tournaments.

All District 2 tournaments are double-elimination.

The 9-10 softball tournament started with exhibition games June 24, while the first game of the elimination tournament will pit Five Town and Oceanside against one another on Thursday, July 10 at 5:30 p.m.
