Life Drawing Group is back
Rockland — Life drawing is the time-honored artistic practice of drawing the human form from direct observation of a live model. Starting Tuesday, Nov. 6, the Life Drawing Group that formerly met at Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education, will begin again at its new location: Yvette Torres Gallery, 21 Winter St.
For 12 weeks, the group will meet Tuesdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and draw from a several different models in a progression of pose lengths. The group is informal and fun. There is no instruction provided, although artists often stay late and discuss the evening’s work. All skill levels are encouraged to attend.
The group is organized by Andrew White, a local artist who has run the group for the last three years. Cost for the complete 12-week session is $130 or $15 for a drop-in.
