Bath — Lewis F. Havener, 72, died Jan. 6, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born to Clyde and Phyllis (Moody) Havener Dec. 29, 1941. He married Vicky Beal, Nov. 11, 1987. They lived in Bath and Brunswick.

Lewis went to South Hope School and Union High School and moved to Bath in 1969. He worked at Fisher Engineering and as a long-haul truck driver, retiring in 2005 due to his health.

He enjoyed his two Boston terriers, P.J. and Precious, ice fishing and playing cribbage.

He is survived by his wife Vicky; daughters Debbie Allen and husband Donnie of Rockland, Patricia Dellmatson of Vermont, Tiffany Havener of Bath, Melissa Havener of Bath; sons Lewis Sukeforth and wife Melissa of Searsmont, Donald Havener and wife Mary of Ellsworth, Richard Havener of Bath, Robert Havener of Florida; grandchildren Adam, Cathie, Aiden, Shelby, Alaysia, Johnathan, Cameron, Dillion, Nicholas, Christian, Alexandera; great-grandchildren Saydie, Zoey, Jozie; sisters Judith Robinson and her husband Raymond of Rockland, Jeanie Moody of Waldoboro; and brother Joseph Havener of his wife Donna. He is predeceased by Marie Guild and Larry Havener.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 18, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Bath Legion Hall on Congress Street.

my condolences to Lewis's family. I grew up in South Hope with him. R. I. P.
