Prayer makes the difference
Early in the morning of Nov. 9, those of us who stayed up, witnessed one of the greatest election reversal victory’s in our Republic’s history.
As I sat in front of the TV at 8:30 p.m. I was told in no uncertain terms by the professional pollsters and media that my hopes of a conservative Republican win was futile. But within an hour as I watched intently the whole electoral map radically changed in the form of a great victory for America, with a complete about face of what was predicted by the authorities.
This was nothing short of a miracle performed by God’s sovereign hand of mercy
I believe, without a doubt, that it all started about a year earlier when the voice of Franklin Graham started urging Americans to come out to their State Capitols and welcome his Decision America bus tour to pray for this election and for the future of America
Graham said, over and over “this tour is not about getting candidates elected or promoting any party’s platform — it is about getting Christians to pray, asking God to move, knowing that his will is perfect.
Then as a result, prayer groups were started; families prayed, churches prayed, then Christians went to the polls and God changed the outcome with a stunning victory.
Most of these praying Americans believed that God’s sovereign power could change everything — to help interrupt the godless atheistic, progressive agenda from continuing its moral assault on our nation.
If you will take the time and go back into the old Testament of the Bible, you will find numerous occasions were God did this same thing to assure his people that If they repented and trusted in him, he would deliver them from their enemy.
After I witnessed this whole scenario take place I was reminded once again of one verse that describes God’s promises in detail — II Chronicles 7:14, “if my people who are called by My Name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
Thank God for Franklin Graham, and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assoc.
