Lab mix puppies available for adoption

Jan 02, 2013

We have puppies! Nine, adorable lab mix puppies, each named after one of Santa's reindeer, and their mom, Mrs. Claws, rode in on a sleigh, OK it was a mini van, all the way from South Carolina looking for loving homes. They were rescued from a high volume shelter down south where their future did not look so merry or bright. With us they will be spayed and neutered to stop the cycle of unwanted. homeless animals and we will match them with loving families here in Maine. The puppies are about 13 weeks old of rolie polie cuteness and are sure to go fast. If you are interested in adopting a puppy call the shelter at 594-2200.

Do you are someone you know need to get your pet fixed? There is still room on the transport from HSKC to the Community Spay Neuter Clinic in Freeport on Tuesday, Jan. 22. For more information or to reserve a spot call 594-2200.

Thank you to the good folks at Coldwell Banker Soundvest Properties for their fabulous donation of $2,533 to the shelter. The gift was a result of the generosity of participating brokers who donated $25 each time a house closed and in turn the company matched that gift. What a wonderful way to support your community animal shelter. Thank you Coldwell Banker Soundvest Properties.

Thank you to Maine Sport for offering a shelter friendly discount during the busy holiday season, encouraging the donation of wish list items to help the shelter. We received a whole pile of greatly needed supplies. Thank you.

We are so very pleased to announce that Molly, a recent pet pick of the week and shelter favorite, who holds the title of longest temporary resident at the shelter has been adopted! She is happily adjusting to her new home.
