KVAC Class B senior all-star game tips off March 4

Contest at Gardiner Area High School involves seven area players, two coaches

Gardiner — Midcoast high school girls basketball fans with a taste still in their mouths for hoops following the conclusion of the 2013-14 season have another chance to see one of their favorite area student-athletes on Tuesday, March 4 at Gardiner Area High School.

The school will host the annual Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B girls senior all-star game, which will tip off at 6:30 p.m.

Members of the home team, with Midcoast players listed first, are: Sammie Griffin and Brooke Benedict of Medomak Valley; Hannah Bridges and Mia Taylor of Erskine Academy of South China; Ally Day, Nicole Chadwick and Abby Dunn of Gardiner; Jen Genthner and Danielle Pierce of Lincoln Academy of Newcastle; Sara Beckwith of Maranacook of Readfield; and Hannah Allen and Colleen O'Donnell of Waterville. The team will be coached Medomak Valley's Randy Hooper, who earned the KVAC Class B coach of the year award.

Members of the away team, with Midcoast players listed first, are: Ashley Littlefield of Belfast; Jaclyn Gilson and Bekah Hilt of Camden Hills; Courtney Morse of Mount View; Brooke Dugan of Oceanside; Tasha Cloutier, Megan Dow and Kendra Gilbert of Leavitt of Turner; Bri Losse of Maine Central Institute of Pittsfield; and Anna MacKenzie, Kelsie Richards, Kylie Richards and Taylor Shaw of Nokomis of Newport. The team will be coached by Camden Hills' Marty Messer.
