Knox-Lincoln USDA working group meets Dec. 7
Waldoboro — There will be a meeting of the Knox-Lincoln USDA Local Working Group on Friday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Knox-Lincoln Extension Office at 377 Manktown Road in Waldoboro. The meeting is open to the public and all interested parties are encouraged to attend.
Local Working Groups provide recommendations to the District Conservationist of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service on local natural resource priorities and criteria for conservation activities and programs. It is at these meetings that priorities are set for distribution of USDA funding in the region including agricultural waste, forestry, cropland, pasture, and blueberry land. Other issues and areas of concern may be discussed as well. Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District will work with the group on priorities recognized that cannot be addressed through USDA programs.
Persons with disabilities who require accommodations to attend or participate in this meeting should contact this office by Nov. 30. If you have questions, please contact the Knox-Lincoln SWCD at 596-2040 or email@example.com.
