Knox-Lincoln Conservation District holds supervisor election
Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District is guided by a volunteer board of local landowners, three elected and two appointed supervisors, who each serve overlapping three-year terms. To expand the pool of knowledge, interest, and volunteer assistance for district programs and projects, non-voting associate supervisors who are appointed by the board also advise the district.
A general election, which is open to all registered voters residing in Knox and Lincoln counties, is held each fall to fill the vacancy for the elected supervisor whose term is expiring. This year, the district has one opening for a supervisor to serve a three-year term on the district board. Mark F. Hedrich of Union, currently serving as board chair, is running for re-election.
