The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 255 calls for service from Feb. 16-22.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Feb. 16

Deputies Paul Pinkham and Sgt. James Moore responded to a report of a domestic in Warren. Upon arrival and after speaking to the people involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only and the parties separated.

Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Lance Mitchell began an investigation of harassment in Warren. The male suspect was contacted and issued a warning for same.

Mitchell and John Hansen responded to a report of an adult male making threats to harm himself in Warren. The male was located and transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for an evaluation.

Feb. 17

Deputy Michael Sprague began an investigation of threatening in Cushing. This is still an active investigation.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Sprague issued a summons for operating with an expired license.

Mitchell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Cushing involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Feb. 18

Sprague began an investigation of theft in Cushing. This is still an active investigation.

Elwell began an investigation of harassment in Union. The female suspect was contacted and issued a warning for same.

Deputy Paul Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Nathaniel Jack responded to a report of an erratic vehicle in Washington. The vehicle and operator were located and issued a warning for operating with no headlights on in current weather conditions.

Feb. 19

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Detective Don Murray began an investigation of theft in the town of Rockland. This is still an active investigation.

Deputy Jeremy Joslyn conducted a radar detail on North Haven. No violations were noted.

Deputy Arthur Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Jack responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Feb. 20

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Joslyn conducted a radar detail on North Haven. No violations were noted.

Hansen and Sgt. John Palmer responded to a report of a disorderly male in St. George. The male was issued a summons for violating condition of release.

Following a traffic stop in the town of Warren, Deputy Spear arrested Christopher Chandler, 34, of Rockland on a probation violation.

Smith conducted a radar detail in Owls head. No violations were noted.

Feb. 21

Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained with the driver transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for a head injury.

Spear conducted a radar detail in Union. No violations were noted.

Palmer responded to a report of an erratic vehicle in Washington. The vehicle and driver were located and showed no signs of impairment.

Smith and Palmer responded to a report of a disorderly in Friendship. Following this response, Valerie Nile, 45, of Friendship was arrested on a charge of violating condition of release.

Feb. 22

Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Cushing involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Mitchell conducted a radar detail in Appleton. Five warnings for speed were issued.

Smith conducted a radar detail in Cushing. No violations were noted.

Smith arrested Nikki Gray, 21, of Cushing on a probation violation.
