The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 297 incidents Jan. 5-11:

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Jan.5

Deputy Paul Pinkham began an investigation of burglary in Friendship. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy Matt Elwell began an investigation of harassment in Washington. The female suspect will be issued a notice.

Deputies Lance Mitchell and Arthur Smith responded to a report of a disorderly male in  Appleton. The male was issued a warning.

Jan.6

Elwell began an investigation of theft in Hope. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy Michael Sprague began an investigation of forgery and theft in Cushing. Following this investigation, Casey Collins, 29, of Rockland was arrested on charges of theft by deception, forgery and violating conditions of release. At the time of this arrest, the subject was already incarcerated at the Knox County Jail on other charges.

Smith conducted a bail check on a female in South Thomaston. The female in question was located and issued a summons for violating her bail.

Jan. 7

Sprague arrested Mary Johnson, 47, of Rockland on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Deputy Robert Potter began an investigation of threatening on Vinalhaven. This is still an active investigation.

Deputy John Hansen assisted with traffic control at the scene of a three vehicle accident in Thomaston.

Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving a single vehicle striking a deer. No damage.

Deputy Paul Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Smith arrested William Doniel, 35, of Owls Head on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Hansen arrested Christan Marston, 23, of Appleton on an outstanding arrest warrant, along with a bail violation.

Smith arrested Casey Dean, 30, of Rockland on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Jan. 8

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Hope involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Potter responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on North Haven involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Spear arrested Dezarae McPhee,19, of Waldoboro on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Hansen arrested Maurice Condon, 47, of Washington on three outstanding arrest warrants.

Spear arrested John Whoriskey, 48, of St. George on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Deputy Jeremy Joslyn arrested Frank Maddocks, 42, of Appleton on three outstanding arrest warrants.

Joslyn responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Cushing involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Jan. 9

Pinkham conducted a radar detail in Union. No violations were noted.

Following a traffic stop in Washington, Spear issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving two vehicles, one of which rear ended the other. Reportable damage sustained.

Following a traffic stop in Owls Head, Joslyn issued a summons for operating with an expired license.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Hansen issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Jan. 10

Hansen arrested Felichia Glidden, 20, on a charge of violating condition of release.

Smith conducted a bail check on North Haven. The male in question was located and issued a summons for violating conditions of release.

Joslyn conducted a radar detail in Union. No violations were noted.

Joslyn responded to assist Rockport Police Officers at the scene of a disorderly male. This is a Rockport Police case.

Jan. 11

Joslyn conducted a radar detail in Union. No violations were noted.

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Thomaston involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Pinkham responded to a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving a single vehicle. Following this response, the operator was issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Deputies Mitchell and Pinkham responded to a report of a male making threats of harming himself in Union.Following  this response, the male in question was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for an evaluation.

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Smith and Joslyn conducted a bail check in Warren. The male in question was located and issued a summons for violating conditions of release.
