An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 264 calls Dec. 29-Jan. 4.

Dec. 29

Deputy Jeremy Joslyn responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Following this response, Ryan McKeown, 31, of Portland was arrested on a charge of operating under the influence.

Deputy Paul Pinkham began an investigation of harassment in Warren. All parties involved were issued a warning.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Joslyn issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Deputy Arthur Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Dec. 30

Deputy Matt Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Elwell began an investigation of harassment in Warren. The female suspect was located and issued a warning for same.

Deputy Lance Mitchell began an investigation of harassment in St. George. The female suspect in this case was located and issued warnings for trespass and harassment.

Mitchell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Dec. 31

Smith began an investigation of a missing juvenile in Warren. The juvenile was located and returned home.

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Elwell, with the assistance of Thomaston units, responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle rollover. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Michael Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles, one of which rear-ended the other. Reportable damage sustained.

Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle striking a utility pole. Reportable damage sustained.

Joslyn conducted a radar detail on North Haven. No violations were noted.

Deputy Paul Spear conducted a county-wide OUI detail. Several stops were made with one OUI arrest.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Smith issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Jan. 1

Following a traffic stop in St. George, Deputy Spear arrested Dewinton Woodbridge, 60, of Massachusetts on a charge of operating under the influence.

Smith assisted Camden Police at the scene of a motor vehicle crash which resulted in an operating under the influence arrest. This is a Camden case.

Hansen responded to a report of animal cruelty in Friendship involving a dog being tied outside all day in very cold temperatures. The owner of the dog was located and issued a warning.

Jan. 2

Sprague and Pinkham responded to a report of a domestic on the side of the road in Warren. Upon arrival and after speaking to the subject involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only and the parties separated.

Joslyn responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Following this response, Zackary Judkins, 20, of Union was arrested on a charge of OUI.

Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Friendship involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Joslyn and Sgt. James Moore responded to a report of a protection from abuse violation in Warren. Following this response, Amanda Taylor, 30, of Warren was arrested.

Jan. 3

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving two vehicles.

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Mitchell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Mitchell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Hope involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Mitchell and Lt. Kirk Guerrette responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving three vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Robert Potter began an investigation of theft on Vinalhaven. Following this investigation, Richard Harwood, 24, of Vinalhaven was arrested on a charge of theft.

Joslyn, Spear and Hansen responded to a report of a disorderly male in Warren. Following this response, Jesse Hayden, 30, of Waldoboro was arrested on a charge of criminal mischief.

Joslyn responded to assist Rockport Police at the scene of a female said to have a weapon in her possession, threatening to harm herself. The female was located and taken into custody. This is a Rockport case.

Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Jan. 4

Mitchell conducted a radar detail in Union. No violations were noted.

Joslyn and Moore responded to a report of a domestic inAppleton. One subject involved was issued a warning on disorderly conduct.

Joslyn and Moore responded to a report of a disorderly male in Warren. The male had left the scene prior to arrival but was later located and issued a warning for criminal trespass.
