Rockland — The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 195 incidents from Dec. 8-14.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Dec. 8

Sgt. James Moore responded to a report of an erratic vehicle in South Thomaston. Andrew Walsh, 34, of Owls Head was arrested on charges of operating after suspension and operating without a license.

Deputy Arthur Smith began an investigation of harassment in Warren. The male suspect involved was issued a summons for harassment.

Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. The operator was charged with failing to report accident by quickest means and leaving the scene of an accident.

Dec. 9

Deputies Michael Sprague and Matt Elwell responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Union. The vehicle and operator were located and the operator was issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Sprague began an investigation of theft in South Thomaston. Probable charges are pending for the female suspect.

Sprague and Detective Dwight Burtis responded to a report of a domestic in St. George. Upon arrival and after speaking to the subjects involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only.

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Friendship involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Sprague arrested Courtney Costa, 20, of St. George on two outstanding arrest warrants.

Deputies Paul Spear and Sgt. Moore responded to a report of a domestic in St. George. Upon arrival and after speaking to the subjects involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only.

Dec. 10

Spear responded to assist Rockport Police at the scene of a personal injury accident by conducting traffic control.

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving a single vehicle. The operator was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Pen Bay Medical Center via Union Ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Hope involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Robert Potter conducted a radar detail on Vinalhaven. No violations were noted.

Elwell began an investigation of theft in Owls Head. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy John Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Dec. 11

Potter responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on North Haven involving a single vehicle. The operator was located and issued summonses for failing to report accident by quickest means and leaving the scene of an accident.

Elwell responded to a report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash in Warren involving two vehicles. The suspect was located and issued summonses for operating with an expired license, criminal leaving the scene of an accident and driving to endanger.

Potter began an investigation of criminal mischief on  North Haven. The suspect was located and charged with same.

Deputy Paul Simonetti arrested Zachary Thorbjornson, 26, of Warren on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Dec. 12

Deputy Jeremy Joslyn responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Potter conducted a radar detail on Vinalhaven. No violations were noted.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Joslyn issued a summons for no inspection.

Dec. 13

Joslyn responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Paul Pinkham began an investigation of burglary in Appleton. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Multiple deputies conducted an operating under the influence detail throughout the county. Several summonses and warnings were issued for various traffic infractions. There were no OUI arrests.

Dec. 14

Spear began an investigation of burglary in St. George. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Spear and Lt. Kirk Guerrette responded to a report of a disorderly situation in  Union. All parties involved were issued a warning for same.

Deputy Spear arrested Rebecca Jackson, 37, of Union on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was transported to the Knox County Jail without incident.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Joslyn issued summonses for attaching false plates and no proof of insurance.
