The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 236 Incidents from Dec. 1-7:

Dec. 1

Following a traffic stop in St. George, Deputy Tammi Morrison issued a summons for expired license.

Deputy Paul Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Cushing involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Deputies Jeremy Joslyn and Paul Pinkham responded to a report of a domestic in St. George. Following this response, Tyler Philbrook, 25, of St. George was arrested on charges of criminal mischief and violating condition of release.

Joslyn and Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputies Arthur Smith and Sgt. James Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle. One occupant was transported to the hospital for complaints of neck pain.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Dec. 2

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Matt Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Joslyn conducted a radar detail on North Haven. No violations were noted.

Deputy Robert Potter conducted a radar detail on Vinalhaven. No violations were noted.

Deputy Michael Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Rockland involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Dec. 3

Elwell began an investigation of harassment in St. George. The male suspect involved was issued a summons.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Hope involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving a single vehicle roll over. Reportable damage sustained.

Dec. 4

Sprague responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Thomaston involving two vehicles. Reportable damage sustained.

Potter conducted a radar detail on Vinalhaven. No violations were noted.

Spear arrested Paul Benner, 29, of St. George on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Following a traffic stop in Thomaston, Spear arrested Jodi Young, 33, of Bangor on charges of violating condition of release and possession of drugs.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Spear issued a summons for attaching false plates.

Sgt. John Palmer responded to a report of an adult female, making threats of harming herself in Cushing. The female was located and taken to Pen Bay Medical Center for an evaluation.

Dec. 5

Sprague began an investigation of an assault in Friendship. This is still an active investigation with probable charges pending.

Potter conducted a radar detail on Vinalhaven. No violations were noted.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Joslyn issued a summons for speed.

Potter arrested Kylee Davis, 42, of Vinalhaven on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Palmer arrested Jason Smith, 27, of Sangerville on multiple outstanding arrest warrants. Subject was currently incarcerated at the Knox County Jail on other charges.

Spear arrested Ashley Sawyer, 29, of Warren on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Elwell and Palmer responded to a report of an ATV crash in Warren. The operator was taken to the hospital with a possible broken leg.

Dec. 6

Potter conducted a radar detail on Vinalhaven. No violations were noted.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Joslyn issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Joslyn began an investigation of harassment in Owls Head. The female suspect was located and issued a warning for same.

Following a traffic stop in Washington, Spear issued a warning for no front plate and a summons for possession of marijuana.

Palmer responded to a disorderly complaint in Warren. Following this response, the male suspect was issued summonses for criminal mischief and violating condition of release.

Dec. 7

Smith arrested Valerie Nile, 45, of Friendship on charges of theft, criminal trespass and violating condition of release.

Palmer arrested Andrew Williams, 23, of Warren on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Joslyn began an investigation of harassment in South Thomaston. All parties involved were issued a warning for same.

Spear began an investigation of theft in Washington. This is still an active investigation with one suspect named.

Joslyn arrested Duane Makie, 29, of St. George on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Joslyn and Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in South Thomaston involving a single vehicle roll-over. Reportable damage sustained.

Smith responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.
