The Knox County Sheriff's Office responded to 255 calls Sept. 22-28.

An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt. An individual charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at criminal proceedings.

Sept. 22

Deputies Matt Elwell and Tammi Morrison responded to a report of a hit and run motor vehicle accident in Owls Head. Reportable damage sustained with no leads on a suspect.

Deputy Paul Pinkham responded to a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle, whose operator left the road, causing the vehicle to roll. Reportable damage sustained.

Pinkham began an investigation of theft in Washington. This is still an active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy Arthur Smith began an investigation of a late report of a motor vehicle crash in Union. Once the operator was located, he was summoned for leaving the scene of an accident and failing to report accident by quickest means.

Smith arrested Bernard Young, 37, of Cushing on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Deputies Paul Spear and Smith responded to assist Thomaston police at the scene of a disorderly complaint. This is a Thomaston case.

Smith arrested Danielle Millay, 36, of Appleton on a charge of violating condition of release.

Sept. 23

Elwell began an investigation of harassment on Matinicus. The male suspect was contacted and issued a warning for same.

Elwell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Appleton involving three vehicles. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Deputy Lance Mitchell arrested Leona Costa, 30, of Camden on an outstanding arrest warrant. She was booked in at the Knox County Jail after turning herself in.

Smith began an investigation of trespass in Friendship. The female suspect was located and issued a written notice for same.

Sept. 24

Deputies Elwell and Morrison responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George involving two vehicles, one of which rear-ended the other. Reportable damage sustained with two individuals transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.

Following a traffic stop in Union, Deputy Michael Sprague issued a summons for operating motor vehicle with an expired license.

Sprague began an investigation of theft in Appleton. This is still an active investigation with no suspects or leads at this time.

Deputy Robert Potter responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on Vinalhaven involving two vehicles, one of which backed into the other. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Deputies Sprague and Sgt. James Moore responded to a report of an animal problem in Warren involving two loose dogs killing several chickens and a rabbit. The owner was located and issued summonses for failure to license their dogs and dog at large.

Smith arrested Christopher Lowe, 33, of Warren on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Deputies John Hansen, Smith and Moore responded to a report of a disorderly male in Warren. Ernest Dustin, 49, of Warren was charged with domestic violence assault and driving to endanger. He was taken to Pen Bay Medical Center for an evaluation.

Moore responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Rockport involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Spear and Moore responded to a report of a hit and run motor vehicle crash in Warren. Reportable damage sustained.

Sept. 25

Lt. Kirk Guerrette responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Washington involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Non-reportable damage sustained.

Sept. 26

Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a motorcyclist striking a deer. The operator was transported to Pen Bay Medical Center for injuries sustained. Reportable damage to motorcycle.

Pinkham responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George involving a single vehicle striking a deer. Reportable damage sustained.

Pinkham and Sprague responded to a report of a domestic in South Thomaston. Upon arrival and after speaking to the subjects involved, this was deemed a verbal argument only.

Detective Dwight Burtis responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Owls Head involving two vehicles, one of which backed into the other. Reportable damage sustained.

Following an investigation of prostitution in Warren, Wendy Moody, 37, was arrested and charged for prostitution, violating condition of release, cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputy Jeremy Joslyn conducted a radar detail on North Haven. No violations were noted.

Detective Don Murray arrested Terry Perry, 40,  of South Thomaston on two outstanding arrest warrants. He was also charged with theft.

Pinkham and Spear responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in St. George involving a single vehicle. Reportable damage sustained.

Following a traffic stop in South Thomaston, Hansen arrested Ashley Roman, 26, of Camden on charges of operating after suspension and possession of schedule W drugs.

Spear conducted a radar detail in Friendship. No violations were noted.

Following a traffic stop in Cushing, Spear issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Following a traffic stop in Cushing, Spear issued summonses for operating after suspension, speed and attaching false plates.

Hansen responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Warren involving a single vehicle whose operator swerved to miss an animal in the road. Reportable damage sustained.

Sept. 27

Mitchell conducted a radar detail in Warren. Two written warnings were issued.

Mitchell began an investigation of harassment in Appleton. The male suspect was located and issued a written notice for same.

Mitchell responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash in Union involving a single vehicle whose operator left the road striking multiple utility poles. Following this response, the operator, Aimee Faulkingham, 30, of Cushing was arrested on charges of OUI and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs.

Spear arrested Gabriel Payor, 19, of South Thomaston on an outstanding arrest warrant.

Joslyn conducted a radar detail on North Haven. No violations were noted.

Potter began an investigation of burglary on Vinalhaven. There are no suspects or leads at this time.

Following a traffic stop in Warren, Spear issued a summons for operating after suspension.

Following a traffic stop in Hope, Spear issued summonses for operating after suspension and attaching false plates. The owner of the vehicle was also issued summonses for permitting unlawful use and violating a condition of release.

Sept. 28

Pinkham began an investigation of harassment in Washington. All parties involved were issued warnings for same.

Smith arrested Chad Sproul, 37, of Warren on an outstanding arrest warrant.
