It will be business as usual for the traditional start of election season when Knox Democrats have their September meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend and to participate.
Starting at 6 p.m. there will be the usual potluck and open discussion for any who wish to bring a salad, beverage or main dish to share. A microwave is available. This is a good time for people to talk politics, vent, share concerns etc.
The business meeting will start at 7 p.m. There will be a report on the record-breaking John Syrett Lobster Bake and the continuing need to raise more money. There will be a report on escalating campaign activities at the Rockland Headquarters and their anticipated costs. Local candidates may present updates on their campaigns.
There will be a discussion of planned or possible events over the weeks before the election for the benefit of candidates or the treasury or both. Ideas and volunteers will be welcome.
The Stella Maris House is accessible to the handicapped and has on-site parking and air-conditioning.
