Rockland — The next meeting of the Knox County Democratic Committee will focus almost entirely on campaign activities going on at the headquarters in Rockland, on which many members and volunteers around the county have been working.

Democrats will meet Tuesday, Oct. 9 at the Stella Maris House in Rockland located at 148 Broadway at the intersection with Route 1.

At 6 p.m. there will be the usual potluck supper and open discussion for any who will bring a salad, side dish or beverage to share. A microwave is available.

The business meeting will begin at 7 p.m. After financial reports and news from the coordinated campaign at the state level and updates on local campaigns and outreach events, the remaining time will be spent on continued organizing of volunteers for sign placement, phoning, canvassing, mailings, etc. The meeting will adjourn early, and those who wish to do so may remain and phone bank until 8:30 p.m. Cell phones will be available.
