Founded in 2000, Knox County Community Health Coalition (KCCHC) (formerly known as Knox County Coalition Against Tobacco) is the local Healthy Maine Partnership of Knox County and is the only public health coalition in the county. It is a community/school partnership comprised of agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals representing many sectors of our county. Its mission and vision:

Mission: KCCHC seeks to create a healthy Knox County for all community members.

Vision: The Knox County Community Health Coalition will identify, recommend and assist efforts to enhance the overall quality of life and health of the Knox County community by promoting a livable wage, reducing substance abuse, providing access to healthcare and other essential services, creating opportunities for individuals to empower themselves, improving affordable transportation and communicating effectively with each other on common concerns.
