Dinner at Cappy's celebrates Kiwanis charitable giving
The goodwill continues as Cappy’s Chowder House will host the Kiwanis Club of Rockland during its ongoing Community Connections program on Wednesday, January 29th.
On that evening, Cappy’s will donate up to half of the night’s food sales to the Kiwanis Club, which has in turn pledged to distribute those funds to Special Olympics, and the Knox County Aktion Club, a community service organization for disabled adults.
The Cappy’s Community Connections program is designed to support a dozen non-profit organizations during the winter months, by inviting residents in Midcoast Maine to enjoy a meal, knowing that a percentage of that night’s revenues will be donated to a good cause.
Due to the anticipated success of this event, reservations for parties of 8 or more are recommended. Seating will be from 5 PM till 9 PM, with an expected high demand between 6 and 7:30.
The general public, along with Kiwanis members, Aktion Club members, and families who participate in Special Olympics programs are encouraged to attend this event. The contribution from Cappy’s will be based on the overall number of meals purchased on that night.
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
