The Kiwanis Club of Rockland hosted New England & Bermuda District

Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor Kim Michaud at their weekly meeting on

November 19.  Michaud, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Augusta,

represents the district's 4th division, which includes clubs in Madison,

Pittsfield, Waterville, and Waldo County, as well as Augusta and

Rockland.  Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to

changing the world one child and one community at a time.  The New

England & Bermuda District is one of 49 Kiwanis districts in more than

80 countries.  The district is made up of 26 divisions throughout the 6

New England states and the island country of Bermuda.  While local

clubs, divisions and districts have their own local charities and

community service initiatives, the major worldwide service project of

Kiwanis International is the ELIMINATE Program: an effort to eliminate

Maternal Neonatal Tetanus.  Michaud, [left], is shown with Rockland

Kiwanis president Amy Pease of Union.  FMI: kiwanisone.org; and
