Kiwanis E-waste Fundraiser for AIO Food Pantry a Success
An event that has turned into an annual charitable fundraiser and an
opportunity for Knox County residents and businesses to dispose their
electronic waste, generated $1,750 for the Area Interfaith Outreach
[AIO] Food Pantry on November 10.
Additionally, over 100 pounds of non-perishable foods was donated. All
of the food and cash donations were given by those people who were able
to take advantage of the chance to get rid of old television sets,
computer monitors, telephones, radios and other electronics. In the
photo, volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Rockland, the Oceanside Key
Club and the Aktion Club of Knox County take a break in the action
during the day-long community service project.
