Kinney to address Maine Women's Network

Shannon Kinney will talk business at the April 2 meeting of Maine Women's Network.

Camden — On Wednesday, April 2, The Midcoast Chapter of Maine Women’s Network will host guest Shannon Kinney, founder and client success officer of Dream Local Digital.

This event is sponsored by Machias Savings Bank of Rockland, represented by MWN member, Judy Brogden.

This presentation will highlight industry trends, tactics and best practices for utilizing online marketing to grow your audience beyond your friends and family, and deepen engagement. Kinney will cover specific examples relating to social media, email, mobile and search engines that will help demystify using social media and use it to grow your business.

Kinney has more than 15 years of experience in the development of successful Internet products, sales and marketing strategies, and has worked on the teams developing successful Internet brands such as Cars.com, careerbuilder.com, and more than 60 online media properties for newspapers all over the U.S. and Canada. Prior to that, she spent more than 10 years in media sales and sales management in Maine. Kinney is considered an expert in the field of online marketing and social media, and speaks regularly at conferences on the subject. She was recently named one of the Women to Watch in 2013 by MaineBiz.

This meeting will take place at Cappy’s Chowder House on Main Street in Camden from 5:15 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The cost, which includes full buffet and dessert following the presentation, time for networking and the activities, is $25 for members and $30 for guests of members and/or non-members.
