Rockland — Kathleen Elsie Dority McConnell died peacefully in hospice care at Woodlands in Rockland Aug. 25, 2014, at the age of 82.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brothers Arthur and John, and her daughter Mary.
Kathleen was born in Camden, Feb. 28, 1932, to Alexander Charles and Gertrude Emily (Bennett) Dority. She was educated in the Camden Public Schools, and graduated from Husson College. She worked for many years as a legal secretary for Harmon, Jones, & Sanford. Kathleen enjoyed her family and music, especially playing the violin, piano, and singing in the church choir.
She is survived by her brother, Walter Fogg of Appleton; five children, Patrick and his wife Kathleen of Nashua, N.H., Anita McConnell of Searsport, Kevin and his companion Lisa Leeman of Camden, James and his wife Terresa of Rockland, and Elaine Feener and her husband Frank of Northport. In addition, she is survived by seven grandchildren: Barbara, Kerry, Michael, Derek, Josh, Frankie, and Christina. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Brandon and Lee.
A service will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Camden. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Chestnut Street Baptist Church in Camden.
