Scarborough — Judith A. “Judy” Smith, 69, of North Street in Scarborough passed away peacefully of natural causes at her home on Nov. 13, 2012 .
Judy was born in Rockland on July 3, 1943 the daughter of Calvin H. and Janet P. Murphy Smith. She attended local schools and graduated from St. George High School in the class of 1962. She went on to further her education by attending business school.
Judy worked as a Key Punch Operator for Sanborn Motor Express, retiring in the mid-80s after 20 years of service. She was an avid New England sports team fan, enjoyed listening to talk radio and spending time with her beloved cat “Mr Grayson.“ Her greatest love was time spent surrounded by her family and friends, never missing a family gathering.
Judy was predeceased by her parents; her brother Marvin Smith and her nephew Bruce Smith. She is survived by three sisters: Cindy and her husband Joe Link of South Portland, Patricia McKirdy of Connecticut, Carolyn MacMillan of Florida; three brothers: Roger and his wife Diane Smith of Rhode Island, Wayne and his wife Janet Smith of New Jersey, Peter and his wife Deanna Smith of Tenants Harbor along with many nieces and nephews.
At the family's request all services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Coastal Cremation Services, 471 Deering Ave., Portland, ME.
