‘Journey’ fan’s dream come true
Rockland — The Strand Theatre, 345 Main St., continues its ongoing series of music documentaries Saturday, March 23, at 8 p.m. with “Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey” about the ‘80s band Journey’s discovery of a new lead singer … on YouTube.
“Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey” follows the real life rock ‘n’ roll fairytale story of Filipino Arnel Pineda, who was plucked from YouTube to become the front man for iconic American rock band Journey, thereby becoming the latest performer to go from the Internet to real-life celebrity. Having already overcome a life full of painful obstacles and now saddled with the immense pressures of leading a world-renowned band and replacing a legendary singer, Arnel embarks on a personal journey that is shared with viewers in the unrated film.
