With winter continuing non-stop, bargain shoppers must be longing for a lawn sale, a sure sign of spring.  The John Street United Methodist Church, 98 John Street, Camden, has plans to satisfy the longing with an indoor “lawn” sale complete with a bake sale.  Doors will open to the fellowship hall at 8 am on Saturday, March 29 and remain open until 12 noon.

An array of heavily laden tables will be organized by “departments.”  There will be jewelry, knitwear, crafts and linens.  Each article of gently worn garments is priced at $1 each, with some exceptions for exclusive choices.  In another area shoppers will find dishware, glasswear, silver, punch bowls and even pots, pans and small appliances.  Buyers may select from the collection of puzzles and books, or Beanie Babies and toys for kids.

Featured furniture items include a book case, a hutch and a nightstand, to name a few.

In the church Narthex, the renowned church cooks will offer a delicious selection of homemade cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, breads and preserves, all reasonably priced.  Typically there are some sugar free items and this year there may be gluten free goods, too.

All proceeds will be used to further the church’s mission.
