Jed preview concert at Landing

Rockland — Landing Gallery, 8 Elm St., will host a free preview concert by award-winning local singer/songwriter Jed Friday, Nov. 30 from 4 to 5 p.m.

Jed lives in Camden and has just released a new CD, “Crashing Plate Tectonic,” which was recorded by the well-known producer Jonathan Wyman, and mastered at Gateway Mastering. It is available at jedsongs.com. Jed has been selected as a finalist in the 2012 Maine Songwriters Association songwriting contest; nine finalists were chosen from 45 entries of original material. The finals will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 beginning 7:30 p.m. at the Frontier theater in Brunswick.

Those attending Jed’s contest preview concert at Landing Gallery will enjoy some light refreshments and a new installation of artwork by many of the gallery’s popular artists including Susan Amons, Roberta Baumann, Bruce Busko, Irma Cerese, Lewis Cisle, Gifford Ewing, Linden Frederick, Michael Kahn, Dorothy Simpson Krause, Monique Lazard, Isabelle Pelissier, David Riley Peterson, Ellen Roberts and Bjorn Runquist.
