'Jammer Soccer Camp to make pitch in July

Rockport — The 'Jammer Soccer Camp, for boys and girls entering grades 3-8, will kick off in July.

Led by Camden Hills boys varsity soccer coach Ryan Hurley, the camp will be Monday through Friday, July 14-18, and focus on improving individual soccer skills and team play in a fun environment. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon at Camden Hills Regional High School.

Joining Hurley in teaching the camp will be former Camden Hills Regional High School student-athlete Kristina Alex, along with Maranacook boys soccer coach Don Beckwith, who led the Black Bears to the state Class C boys soccer championship in 2013. Other current and former Windjammer players also will assist with the camp.
