I have so many notes… don’t know where to start. I probably won’t comment on all of them.
Mark, Allyn, Chase Weaver, Polly, Lisa and I from Jackson and probably others. There were so many people there to the septic benefit to help Ralph’s Café, where so many of us go, to replace their septic. They do so much for any benefit or any one. Spaghetti, salads, pies, coffee and punch was served. Slides were shown singing etc. Also there was a booth where you could take your picture. Peter made nice pictures…Chase knows. The center pieces were great and put together by Nancy and husband. Good luck folks!
The clothing shop downstairs was open, as it is on Tues and Thurs, anyhow Lisa went down and said it was unreal down there.
Did you see the lady from Maine whose daughter was kidnapped and killed on Mother’s Day by someone she met online?? They were telling people to check what your child is doing online, or explain to them what can happen. I guess that tells or shows why a lot of older people feel it’s a terrible invention. Why not go back as it used to be? Guess it’s good for kids in school if they use it as they are supposed to. It’s terrible the things that have happened and extended to online…like with this women and the bullying and all that.
With the Stars… is on again on Monday nights, channel 7. I think you’ll enjoy it. No it’s not like we used to do at Jackson dance but interesting. One is a professional dancer and the other is a celebrity like actors, football player or sports figure. One team is voted off each week.
Hanging in there and will go to the playoffs. Did you see the 100 year old lady that is hung up on them more than I am? She had a Red Sox cake, Red Sox decorations, and Red Sox hat etc…nice going mam.
Lisa and I did see Audrey and Paul at Bowens…they had been to a pirates convention. The pirates were from Florida, not Paul and Audrey. They had beautiful pictures of some of them, sorry folks, I write and then Deb types my notes and sends them down to RJ. (sorry folks, sometimes I may mess up Bev’s notes when I retype it!!)
Also, some folks from the Fire Department may help take down the flags…some can, some can’t. We’ve had a few other people offer to help too. Thanks.
It was nice to see Ruth Shultz there for breakfast after her bad fall. She spent 5 weeks all total in the hospital.
Here I go…seems so interesting last week to see the big full moon out my back window and have them showing it in Boston at the ball game. Don’t take much to fascinate me…
Gee it’s pouring; I can hear it on my roof. Gee also thunder, winds blowing my trees out back. I can hear it hitting the vent from furnace, so it’s raining hard. Glad its daylight.
Meet the Press
I seldom or never watch it but the US is in such a mess, why does Washington want to upset people? There’s a lot who don’t understand it. This Obamacare thing…. We need a change in Washington. Why can’t they agree instead of fighting? But I guess it’s the same in State government, even local Towns, we put them in to help us!
On RFD showed picking them as they do (I had a crew years ago…loved it!). They made as we all do pancakes, pies and muffins. They made salsa as we do but added Blueberries to White vinegar and spices. Cooked it then put it through a strainer. I have a blueberry coffee cake I used to make for Lisa to take to work…I’m slipping nurses.
The lady from Millinocket (or used to be) who won the power ball wants to give money to the schools up there. Some don’t want it, they gotta vote. Gee its millions of dollars, they need it, what’s wrong.
To the person who bought 2 tickets for the Chicken BBQ (you know who you are). Polly and I enjoyed it very much. It’s just like you, thanks!!
Showed on TV where they train service dogs in San Rafeal CA. Gee, Jr and I lived next door to the place on a one way street in 1954. Then it was only German Shepherd. They used to go up our street, so interesting.
As I was going to Belfast I saw this helicopter and got to where they are putting the high tension wire up. They were doing something from this helicopter…quite a sight. The other day there’s a sign flagman; I got to one on my lane he was sitting against a tree asleep. I wanted to blow my horn but decided I wouldn’t be so cruel.
George Hale predicted a Mount View win over (forgot) in football. So good to see it be said that they have a good team. So good luck folks!
See Eric Larrabee’s mentioned in golf and n picture this week. Nice going, Eric.
Good Luck to all the Mount View teams be it soccer, field hockey, or whatever…Jr High too.
No school October 14th and Late start on October 28th.
Milk Room Farmstand
Deb and Ed will be open for a couple more weekends, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4. There are still lots of fresh veggies, beef, pork and more available. If you’re getting ready for winter, stop by and get some meat for the freezer. Fall just started and winter isn’t too far behind. They have good prices on farm fresh products. I like the idea of keeping it local.
The Community Center can be rented. There are fewer restrictions, no big deal; it’s a lot cheaper than other places around. Gee, you have a beautiful dance floor, dining room and kitchen. Tell all your friends. Call the Jackson Town Office for details, 722-3439.
Food Panty Auction
Is on October 5th, held at the Nickerson’s on the Village Road in Jackson or if it rains, it will be held at the Jackson Community Center on the Village Road in Jackson. Anyone that has questions should contact Donna Nickerson or Cindy Ludden.
