Jackson Memorial Library collects coats for Sandy victims

Nov 09, 2012

Tenants Harbor — Beginning this week, the Jackson Memorial Library will be collecting donations of coats and jackets to help the victims of Superstorm Sandy, which left more than 100,000 residents of the New York Metro Area without homes or belongings.

JML has teamed up with New York University to collect donations for the annual New York Cares Coat Drive. This year’s drive will distribute donated outerwear to displaced families around New York City that have been impacted by Sandy.

Please bring gently-used coats and jackets to Jackson Memorial Library, located at 38 Main St.,Tenants Harbor by Thanksgiving weekend. All donations will be brought to a New York Cares sorting facility via NYU. If you have any questions, please contact Katie Gloede by E-mailing KTGloede@nyu.edu.
