Irene S. Dentino
Tenants Harbor — Irene Sylvia (Lehtinen) Dentino, 79, of Tenants Harbor, formerly of Concord, Mass., died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Oakdale Nursing Home in West Boylston, Mass. She was the beloved wife of Alfred C. Dentino Jr.
Born in Rockland, June 9, 1933 she was the daughter of Winifred (Mikkonen) Lehtinen and William Lehtinen. She attended schools in Maine and Massachusetts and graduated from Chandler Secretary School in Boston.
Irene then went to work at Fort Devens until she was married and raised a family. She then went to work as a secretary in A One Girl Office in Stow.
She was a past president of the American Legion Auxiliary in Maynard, Mass. She was also a member of The Finnish American Society in St. George.
In addition to her husband of 59 years, Alfred, survivors include her four sons Alfred W. Dentino and his wife Christine of Lancaster, Mass., Stephen A. Dentino and his wife Ann of Sedgwick, Robert E. Dentino of Mason, N.H. and David A. Dentino and his wife Melissa of Shirley, Mass., her sister Gladys Carter of Holts Summit, Mo. and five grandchildren.
A funeral service was held May 6 at Dee Funeral Home, Concord Center, Mass., and was followed by interment in St. Bernard's Cemetery, Concord.
