Hurricane Gallery calls for work

Jun 12, 2014

Waldoboro — Hurricane Gallery is sending out a call to artists, working in all media, for its opening show of the summer.

Hurricane Gallery is located in a very old, very big, completely refurbished barn up a winding  but excellent and not so long gravel road, within a surprising few minutes of Route 1 and Waldoboro village. The barn and gallery, surrounded by woods and blueberry fields, may seem otherworldly, but artist and owner Robert Macdonald is expecting “an art hurricane of great vitality and variety to happen here."

Interested artists, including artists who have never exhibited before or those new to the Midcoast, are invited to call 832-4062 or 701-7477; email nyiako@yahoo.com; or visit the gallery at 175 Quarry Road, just off Depot Street.

Courier Publications’ A&E Editor Dagney C. Ernest can be reached at (207) 594-4401, ext. 115; or dernest@courierpublicationsllc.com.
