Camden — Friday, Nov. 30 will start the twelfth year Camden Lions are giving away free hot chocolate, hot cider and cookies during the Christmas by the Sea Parade.

Lions will set up two tables at the Camden Library’s Atlantic Avenue entrance and start serving at 6 p.m.

“Over 20 gallons of hot chocolate, hot cider plus fresh baked cookies will be available,” said Lions President Nikki Bland, in a news release.

This is one way the Lions say thanks to the community for supporting all their fundraising projects throughout the year.

The Lions will be selling their Mt. Battie Christmas Star Posters at the same time. A 19-inch-by-27-inch poster, including a brief history of the star plus mailing tube is only $5.95 with proceeds directed towards the stars maintenance. Each year the star is lit on Thanksgiving Eve and continues through New Years Eve.

“These posters make a great stocking stuffer, or a gift for relatives and friends who have moved away," said Lion Bob Oxton.

Posters are also available at French & Brawn, Once a Tree, Penobscot Bay YMCA and Renys.
