Midcoast Ladies Club

Tuesday, Jan. 8, the Ladies Club will meet at Hope Corner Fire Station at 10 a.m. During the business meeting, the 2013 meeting paper will be passed out plus a new list of members. At noon, each person should bring a sandwich. Dessert and beverage will be provided. The program will be speaker Ron Leadbetter, a retired meteorologist. Guest are always welcome. Questions, call Arleigh Huntley at 236-8691.

Cemetery meeting

The next cemetery meeting is Monday, Jan. 7, at the town office at 6:30 p.m.

Condolences

Sympathy is extended to Lord Peter Sexton's wife, Esther Sexton and relatives. The town of Hope will miss Peter.

Class of 1958

The next luncheon of the Camden class of 1958 will be at The Waterfront Restaurant in Camden Thursday, Jan. 10, at noon. Plans for the class reunion will be discussed. Please plan to attend. Questions, contact Rosy at 763-3344.

Historical Society

Hope Historical Society will not meet again until April. Questions, call Gwen at 785-4433.

Snowmobile meeting

Hatchet Mountain Sno-Riders snowmobile club will next meet on Thursday, Jan. 10.

Christmas party

There was a Christmas party at Windward Gardens on Saturday, Dec. 22, with more than 36 adults and four children attending. It was an excellently-organized party. Mr. and Mrs. Claus attended, greeted all and passed out gifts. Cookies and beverages were enjoyed by all. Thanks for a wonderful party organized by Heather and others.

Essie, so so sorry for the loss of Peter.  He will be deeply missed.....Andrew and my hearts are with you and your family!
