Yard sale
Saturday, Sept. 8, from 8 a.m. until noon at Windward Garden, located at 108 Mechanic St. in Camden, is going to hold a giant lawn sale. Stop by and I'm sure you will find something.

Yes, it is time for the Midcoast Ladies Club to hold their annual picnic. This event will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Ayers Park in Union. Everyone should bring their lunch including beverage plus some dessert to share with everyone. Plan to be there at 11 a.m. (I made a mistake on the time last week). If it should rain this will be at Hope Corner fire station. If you have questions call 236-8691 or 763-3751. See you there.

Condolences
Sympathy is extended to Rita Pearse, her family and relatives in the loss of her mother Elsie Beverage. Elsie lived in the town of Hope on Beverage Road for many years. She always looked very happy and had a great smile.
Hope Library
The library volunteers will hold a planning and work session Friday, Sept. 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the library. They will be restocking shelves and reviewing information on possible new furniture and computer equipment.
The basement still needs work and they need someone to help coordinate the cleaning, bookcase moving and repair and painting. Please email or call Judith at 763-3576 if you'd like to help with some of these tasks.
They really appreciate everybody's help in getting the library upstairs back into working order; the free WiFi works and books can be signed out at the blue desk. Let them know your suggestions and preferences for books and community activities.
Take a ride
When you are out riding around come to the town of Hope. If you come up Howe Hill Road you will see a stand where you can buy flowers or plants and other items. Go to Hope Corner and there you will see the apple orchard located across from the superintendents office that will be opening Sept. 7. Next go to Barnestown Road and there you will see at the Hobbs Vegetable Stand with many items, vegetables, fruit and something that will taste great.
Craft Fair
Once again the Hope School will be holding the craft fair in the gym at the Hope School. If you would like to have a table to show your items, give Wendy a call at 785-5770. Several people have all ready sent in their money. This event will be held Saturday, Oct. 20. There will be no flu shots.
