Sympathy is extended to Joe and Ginny Ryan of Hope in the loss of their grandson Tyler Wood who was killed in a bike accident.
The classes of Camden and Rockport High School sure had a great class lunch the 14th of this month. Seventeen people attended. Lots of news about local events and classmates who could not attend. The next lunch will be Thursday, Sept. 11, at The Helm. Mark your datebooks so as to be sure to attend.
Thanks go to Robert Libby and friend Jean for taking me to these lunches. The last lunch I had a problem getting into Robert's car. I sat on the seat but could not get my feet into the car to push myself backward onto the seat. I slid down on to a stool and there I was. I told Robert to call my son Bill's office to come and pick me up, but no answer. So we called his secretary and she allowed she would find him, which she did. In the mean time Robert knew someone to call, which he did. This fellow arrived on the spot just before my son got there. It seems this fellow and my son were both at the hot dog stand getting lunch and talking with each other. This fellow just reached down and picked me up, standing me on my feet. Then I got into Robert's car and away we all went. Thanks to the fellow who came and picked me up.
