Pen Pal Tea
Remember all of you who have had a pen pal from the Hope school this year, you are suppose to be attending the Tea today (May 22) at the school. You get to meet your pen pal and enjoy an afternoon.
What an interesting program we all enjoyed May 13 at Hope Fire Station for the Ladies Club. Joyce Young and her sister Jane brought about 50 of Joyce's dolls and she spoke about them, some of them were so big you would have thought they were babies. She told where she got these dolls; at rummage sales, people gave them to her, one she picked up in the road and so on. She told about dressing all of them and giving all of them baths.
At noon every one enjoyed their sandwich which they had brought with them plus Darlene's famous punch (it sure is good), and ice cream sandwiches for dessert.
During the business meeting, a Hope student's name was drawn for the high school scholarship. This name will be announced at graduation, and in this column after graduation.
Next meeting will be in September and will be the mystery ride. More details later near the September date.
