HES School-wide Buddy Event

Wednesday Dec. 11, the Hope school is having a school-wide "Buddy Activity" and we need parent volunteers from noon to 1 p.m. to help with arts and crafts for all ages. There will be five groups of "Bigs and Littles" (kindergarten and fifth-grade, first-grade and sixth-grade, second- and third-grade and seventh-grade, and fourth-grade and eighth-grade). We would like to have at least two parents for each group. The theme for these crafts will be stained glass. Our intention is to make gifts to donate to local hospitals or retirement homes to spread seasonal cheer. If you have materials/ideas for anything (not limited to) stained glass, please feel free to bring them in! Please email school librarian Amy Gertner at amy_gertner@fivetowns.net if you are interested in helping! We look forward to seeing you!

District III Band News

Thursday, Nov. 7, musicians from HES auditioned in Brunswick for the District III Band and Chorus Honor's Festival. They were wonderful representatives of our school! Those students who were accepted to the Festival will participate April 11 and 12 at Mr. Ararat Middle School in Topsham.

Fiona Sewall was accepted to the Honor's Band on her clarinet. Brandyn-Pease Frampton and Aaron Jones were accepted to the Honor's Chorus singing baritone. Congratulations to these fine musicians!
