The first Senior Lunch at the elementary school will be Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. It will cost $4 and include roast turkey, mashed potato, steamed peas, salad bar (featuring cranberry sauce) and milk, coffee or tea.
Class of 1958
The class will be having a work session Oct 28 at Windward Gardens at 1 p.m. to sort pictures from the reunion. The next luncheon will be Nov. 7 at noon at The Waterfront in Camden. People with questions should call Brenda at 236-8459.
Special Town Meeting
There will be a special town meeting Oct. 28 at Hope Elementary School at 7 p.m. to vote on the supplemental school budget.
Class of 1960
The class will hold their next luncheon Nov. 8 at noon at The Offshore Restaurant. People with questions should call either Juanita (785-4316) or Margaret (763-3344).
Election Day is Nov. 5 and the polls will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you cannot make it into the town office on Election Day, please remember you can vote by absentee ballot. The deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is close of business Oct. 31. The absentee ballots must be returned to the town office by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
The state ballot is a general referendum. There will also be a municipal ballot to validate the supplemental schools budget. Hope Historical Society will have a food sale on election day at the town office.
At the Craft Fair on Saturday there were many winners. Door prizes were drawn throughout the day including: felt ornaments (by Marcie Howard) won by Melinda Blastow, card holder pouch (by Ruth Winchenbach) won by Norma Jones, wooden snowman ornament (by Richard Flinchenbaugh) won by Violet Young, sea glass necklace (by Mill St. Blues) won by Helen Chater, zipper bracelet (by Lara Webb) won by Betty Shaw, Bird ornament (by Morgan Lowe) won by Marie Powers, pot holders and dishcloths (by Florence Merrifield) won by Tricia Pendleton, fabric bag (by Margaret Morse) won by Morgan Lowe, pine cone turkey (by Marilou Carver) won by Joan Peckham, felt turkey (by Marilou Carver) won by Karen Hupper and beaded bracelet (by Lisa Holt) won by Teresa Johnson. There were also three raffle drawings at the Craft Fair. Hope School Volunteers raffled off a Fall Basket won by Peggy Ludwig. Hope Fire Department had a basket (filled by the Ladies Club) won by Teresa Johnson. The Ladies Club raffled off a homemade quilt (by Margaret Morse) won by Kathy Patterson.

Camden Hills Regional High School presents "SHREK the Musical!"
Show dates are Nov. 8 and 9 at 7 p.m., Nov. 10 at 2 p.m., and Nov. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m.
Reserved tickets in advance are $12; advanced general admission is $10 for adults and $6 for students/seniors. Tickets are available online at stromtickets.com. At the door, reserved tickets will be offered for $15; general admission for adults, $12 and students/seniors, $8.
A special Family Show will be offered Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 6 p.m. Tickets for the family show are $5 each, general admission only. There will be no advance sale tickets or reservations for the family show.
