Work by local artist Kathleen Hendrick is featured at the new practice of Dr. Anthony Lee, O.D. at Foxridge. Paintings will change out periodically.

Rockport — Local artist Kathleen Hendrick is the featured artist at the office of Dr. Anthony Lee, O.D., 247 Commercial St./Route 1 in the Foxridge Office Park. Her one-woman show features original floral and landscape watercolors.

Hendrick grew up in Midcoast Maine, where her appreciation of art was nurtured and developed. She explores all media, but returns to the free flowing-watercolor medium to express what is in her heart.

“It’s all about color, impressions and the freedom I experience when I paint. I want to share that with others,” she said.

Hendrick has exhibited with the York Art Association; at the Country Inn and Bagel Café, Camden, and former Lincoln Street Center of Arts and Education, Rockland; and in the Mid-coast Childrens Services yearly art show at Rockport’s Samoset Hotel, the Prescott Park Arts Festival juried art show and the University of Maine Senior Art Show.

Hendrick has studied with well-known artist Linda Franklin, Jacoba Remick Goldman and Karen Walker. She is a past member of the Board of Directors at Lincoln Street Center of Arts and Education; and is a member of York Art Association member and of the Union of Maine Visual Artists.
