Help the Environment,Help Kiwanis toHelp Area Interfaith Outreach Food Pantry

By Kiwanis Club of Rockland | Nov 09, 2012

Kiwanis of Rockland is teaming up with E-Waste Recycling Solutions on Saturday the 10th of November at the JC Penney parking lot located on Maverick Street (Rt. 1A) in Rockland from 9am to 3pm to collect your e-Waste. There will be no charge to drop off your household electronics; however cash donations will be accepted and appreciated. All donations will go to the AIO food pantry.

Just think of it as a win-win situation. You can make a donation that will benefit our community while at the same time saving on the cost of disposing of unwanted, broken or outdated electronics at the local landfills.

Kiwanians will be on hand to help unload your car or truck. Just look for the Kiwanis tent on Saturday the 10th and you will find us there collecting donations and items to be recycled.

Rockland Kiwanis will be donating the day's proceeds to the AIO Food Pantry so come and give generously. If you do not have anything to recycle we will be collecting food on site all day. Just look for the tent.

Items Accepted: Household electronics (TVs, monitors, DVD players, VCR, radio/stereo, microwave ovens, etc.) computers and peripherals (keyboard, mouse, scanner, printer, etc.) batteries, cell phones, game consoles.

Not Accepted: Appliances and white goods (oven, washer/dryer, etc.) freon bearing items (refrigerators, air conditioners) fluorescent bulbs, mercury bearing items (thermometer, thermostats, etc.)
