HealthCare.gov is Asking Some Consumers for Additional Information
Don't ignore that email or snailmail from HealthCare.gov: As many as 2 million Americans are receiving a communication, via mail or email, asking for additional information to verify data supplied when they applied for subsidized health insurance at health insurance Marketplace website.
The government has hired an independent contractor to help with the process. The communications sent describe what documentation is needed; information can be uploaded to HealthCare.gov or sent by mail.
Consumers can log into their HealthCare.gov account and click on "Application Details."
According to HealthCare.gov:"If you don’t send the needed documents, you risk losing your Marketplace coverage or help you may be receiving to pay for such coverage."
